Pinebound is at its best with friends: one of you falls, the other drives past laughing. I added two ways to play together.

The screen splits in two: one player drives with WASD, the other with the arrow keys or a gamepad. The cars can bump into each other, and whichever reaches a camp first counts it for the team.
Online / LAN supports up to 4 players. One player hosts and the others join. Everyone drives their own car on their own machine, so there is no input lag. Obstacles move on a shared clock, so everyone sees the same moment.
When one player reaches a camp, it opens for the whole team, but everyone has to reach the summit on their own; that is the only way to get your time and your reward car. Later on I plan to let friends in different cities, even on their phones, join the same game with a code.
